Favorite apps

Since the app store was first released, the number of apps available from talented app designers has continued to grow and grow.  What are some of your favorite apps, and how did you use them with your site to help achieve your goals?

My favorite Apps are the Elements found in the Tools section.

The Border Box Element, is probably my most favorite. 2nd would be the Back to Top Element. ~These two have been the ones I have used most on multiple sites. But there are others I like, and more I'd like to try.

The Why:

The Border Box has definitely been a NEEDED element. Not only does it allow you to add a background color and a border around the content of your site, but it also provides the option to have a Border Radius, Box Shadow and a Gradient Backgrounds. Simply put, it's easy to make the content of your site stand out!

The Back to Top element has also been very useful, on multiple sites. Being able to add a button that allows the user to scroll back to the top of the page, without needing to 'know code' is a definite plus!

I "second" the choice of the Border Box Element.   I had started to utilize the "Call Out" element but soon realized that the Border element is much more flexable and customizeable in appearance and use.

Hint.... if you use use multiple variations of the Border box on your pages try making a hidden page titled "BB samples"  for example, and keep a copy of each of your variations on that page - then it's a simple matter of going to your sample page and "copy" that variant to the page you are working on.

Suggestion regarding the Border Box element - would be nice if it were possible to use a graphic or even text as a "watermark" for a box?

Hi

Just like you I am using the Call Out App free with Weebly. It is excellent but limiting.

Question for Border Box: Can I select a different shape than a simple Box. I require a circle for instance?

Appreciate your somment.

For technical writing, the Code Block is great and was the missing piece for those wanting to start a technical blog on Weebly.  No more custom HTML elements with gists.  As an added bonus, they look great on mobile as well.

I like the Call Out Box, Tabs, Team Cards... basically anything free that gives me more ways to show content on my site.

OMG I am in love with the accordion app. It helped me setup my policies more clearly. The Call-Out Box is amazing as well, I use it in my Contact page as a FAQ section. The Team Cards are perfect for my About page! And finally the Tabs are really great, I am planning to include them somewhere in my site.

The greatest thing is that they are free Smiley Happy

Hi artisanbathbody.

Can you tell me what "accordian" app you're using? I went to the app store but couldn't find it. I would love to check this out. Thanks.

Accordion, FAQ and Tabs allow a lot of organized content on a page, in a compact space, so visitors are not overwhelmed.

I love that I can bring in more than text media (pics, docs, links, etc) to Tabs and Accordion.

My site isn't commercial; it's for my HS classes. Who needs text books or handouts? Weebly allows me to put all my content up for admin, students and parents (no excuses kids!), and other teachers can access all course info from day 1.

I see that a few people mentioned that their favorite app was the one where you can put a background and border around text.  I would like to do this for some items in my sidebar, but I'm not sure where to find itSmiley Sad
