I have been waiting for the apps to move over to the designer platform for over a year! When I call weebly, noone knows anything about a release date or even if it is being updated at all. I did talk to one support person who said that he had heard weebly was not going to support the designer platform any more, and that they are not developing any sort of update.
This is very unsettling. I have written to the head of Weebly in desparation and have not heard anything. When peoples livelyhood remains in the balance, it is irresponsible for Weebly to 1. not give any updates or commitments that they will be updating the designer platform. 2. If they are they need to give the platform users some ETA's as to when they will be coming out . 3. If Weebly has given up on the program, they need to be transparent and let the designers know upfront not to expect it, instead of all of these messages that they are working on it! Very frustrating to lose customers because I cannot compete with the basic Weebly sites.
Regarding signing up for the beta, I have done so multiple times (at least 10 times) and have never heard back, is there really a beta program??? Or just another false carrot being offered.
Come on Weebly, just give us some information from your most loyal customers, the ones that do the selling for you free of pay. Total frustration and lack of respect to this community of designers who are some of your most loyal customers. I am tired of being treated like Weebly's red headed step child.
at least they're working on it. I can do without them for now.
