In April the Tax Report was
total taxable sales xxxx
beer and wine sales xxxx
door dash sales xxxx
taxable sales.
in May the Tax Report
Total taxable sales xxxx
beer and wine sales xxxx
minnesota sales
taxable sales
support tells us to ask my tax advisor. it is my tax advisor saying to ask square. The extra line item doesn't affect our total sales. the extra line item is about 1% of total sales. So why is there? The support person was not helpful at all, although she tried. Maybe somebody here can answer. The extra line was not requested by us or the MN dept of revenue. Thanks in advance
I have the same issue.
Here is a Link to when I noticed it:
My thing is just like you, the state on their Site is not asking if I collected any amounts for Dingmans Ferry or Bath. I also have no idea what rate Square is assigning to these taxes. When I look in my settings I see the State Tax of 6% only.
When I do my State Taxes monthly I am asked if I collected Sales tax for Philadelphia and for the Alleghany areas, but nothing about the 2 that show up in Square.
Usually we do in store but those two sales were phone orders that I wrang through Square. If I run them through my online site those taxes do not appear. Now my online site is not through Square.
