I have used Square for 8+ years but I get really frustrated navigating square.com sometimes!

You must dig through so many layers to do what you want to do.

Tonight, I wanted to activate a replacement card, so I:

  1. I scanned the QR Code and the phone browser took me to the sign-in page where instead of card activation, you have to choose team/location
  2. I chose Location and I was taken to the dashboard so I decided to switch to a computer
  3. I browse to squareup.com/activatecard which takes me to......
  4. .....the sign-in page where instead of "card activation", you have to choose team/location.
  5. I chose Location (again) and was taken to the dashboard where I started searching for a Menu that might hint at Card Activation, but my search led nowhere....
  6. Lucky for me, as I have had a few Square Debit Cards over the years, I'm confident that it is there.....somewhere.
  7. I navigate to help and search for "card activation", but that doesn't help
  8. I changed the search term to "debit card" and got some useful looking results
  9. Under "Square Debit Card Get Started with Square Debit Card" I found my answer

 Couldn’t “squareup.com/activatecard” just take you to Card Activation?

Per this article, you can activate the card from More > Balance > Checking > Get started

 

I do understand what you mean by the additional steps to get to the correct page from the QR code, and am more than happy to pass along your feedback to the team.
