WooCommerce: How do to stop item prices and descriptions changing when I sell something online?
I'm using the square app to sync my online store to a new bricks and mortar store I am opening. In the square dashboard I have created one location, put all the products into catagories, edited their desciptions and adjusted their prices (to be more in the bricks n mortar store than online). My problem is when I update stock in the back end of the online store, or a customer makes a order online the stock gets adjusted correctly BUT the prces and descriptions are changed back to the online price and desciption.
Below are my preferences cut n paisted from the back end of woocommerce -
Synchronization
Determine which aspects of your product catalog to synchronize between WooCommerce and Square. Products need to have SKUs set for each variation.

Yeah, that's the Square Integration being "helpful".... I've fought that one way too often.
The best way around this issue while keeping the integration intact is to create a separate item in Woo. Yes, this means you'll have duplicate items in your library, but it's the only way I've found that nicely works with different pricing. The bonus of doing it this way is that you'll be able to see a breakdown in where all the revenue is coming from.
I went into detail with my experience with Woo in this other thread.
