Why is Square now saying that tax is being included in the item price?

All of a sudden, each of my items says that tax is included in the item sale price (which it is not).  When I am doing a transaction, it is not adding a line item for tax.  Instead, it says as the bottom of the reciept "7% Tax Included, $xx.xx"  So for example, I sold two items, $11 and $19.99.  It said the total was $29.99 and that 7% Tax of $2.17 was included in this price.  I had to add a tax item for the tax amount so that it came out to $33.16.  How do I fix this?

Somehow a setting got tripped on you, I believe.

In your Dashboard, go to Items, then Taxes. Choose whatever tax you have set up here and verify that it is set to "Add tax to Item Price". My bet is that you're set to "Include Tax in Item Price"
