UNACCEPTABLE BUG - DELETING WEEBLY LISTING WHEN USING SAME VARIATION NAME, DIFFERENT SKUS

I have huge complaint!  I have finally figured out why my Weebly/Online store item listings keep disappearing from the store while they still persist in Square... if I *accidentally* give an item 2 variations with the exact same name, but with different SKUS either using the upload file fictionality in Square or manually editing in Weebly, the ENTIRE ITEM LISTING gets removed from the store with NO ERROR OR WARNING. Once I finally figure this out, I have to go back to Square to edit the variation names, then I have to re "add the item to the (Weebly) library" and when it loads ALL OF THE DESCRIPTIONS, EXTRA PHOTOS, AND WEEBLY CATEGORIES ARE GONE and have to be repopulated.  Besides being unacceptable software behavior (deleting my data without warning) THERE IS NO BACK UP OF THE WEEBLY ITEM DATA!!!!!!!!!!  What kind of software has no backup either on their own servers or by allowing the user to back it up themselves.  Really mad.  See my next three - BACK UP WEEBLY DATA

I'm really sorry to hear about this experience! We definitely appreciate the feedback. This does sound like a bug and is not expected behavior. Have you contacted Customer Support to have them file an engineering ticket for you?

thanks - I have contacted Customer Support to troubleshoot/complain but they didn't say anything about an engineering ticket.  How do I post an official feature request?

I'm not sure this is a feature request, which is why I'm directing you to call in @canativeseeds1.

 

This sounds more like something our engineers would need to look into - what I mean is that it may not be working properly. Our team would be able to confirm whether this is the expected behavior, if you reach out directly.

To make a formal feature request in the Community, you would start a new thread like you did here, if one does not already exist for the feature you are requesting. However, this does not sound like a feature request.
