Self Serve Ordering and Hours

Hi all! Hoping to get some insight and clarity here:

We recently set up self-serve ordering for our courtyard area. We have 11 tables outside, and are not letting folks into the restaurant.

We have recently discovered that people are able to order by scanning the QR codes irrespective of our hours. We have had a table that ordered after close, and before we open. In the worst case, we had to issue a full refund to some very unhappy people.

To be clear, our hours are posted, but if we've learned anything during the pandemic it's that folks can't be relied upon to read signage -- that's life!

Is there a step, or a section of setup that I am missing that would allow me to restrict the hours that people are able to order from the tables? If there is not, is there any plan to rectify this in future? This is a major issue for us -- we need all the business we can get, and can't afford to have people leave, at best disappointed and at worst furious.

Thanks!

Hey @curryblossom,

I reached out to our Restaurants team to see if I can find some more information on this and it appears what you're needing is a feature request at this time.

They've passed it forward to the Product team for QR codes but I definitely see how that could be troublesome. Hopefully that'll come in future updates to the QR codes since they're still brand new.

Thanks, Ashley! I'm really glad I'm not missing something! Hopefully this feature comes soon.

Still an issue for us and no fix in sight. It’s not a feature request, it’s finding a bug that been a bug since 2020.
