Refund for a transaction that has not yet gone through
On Friday at 3:00pm I took a customers payment. It has not yet posted to my bank account. I wish to refund the amount and take a check as payment as now the payor chooses to pay with a check. The Refund FAQ states the amount will be pulled from our attached bank account to refund the credit card payment. I’m worried if I hit refund , the money will be pulled from my account even though the original payment has not yet processed. Anyone have a similar situation?

You can refund the payment and you will get your square fees back too and it will be fine.
We have processed 100s of same day refunds and never a problem.
