Please Fix Inability for Overseas US Military customers and US diplomats to place orders
Another shipping issue.....
I've sold to several US overseas military customers over the years. Recently, I was contacted by a customer letting me know that she was unable to place an order because there were no FPO or AE drop down options after she selected United States. There is currently absolutely no way for someone with a US FPO address to place an order on my site. I told my customer to just pick a random US state so that she could complete checkout and then email me her anonymous FPO AE overseas military address for me to create a label through shippo.
Please someone at Square/Weebly fix this problem. I am sure 99% percent of potential US military customers that encounter the inability to make a purchase on my site are not going to reach out and ask me to help them, they will just not make the purchase since the purchase option for FPO is not a possibility.
Just FYI, before someone messes something else up, all customers that are US overseas military or US diplomates with anonymous FPO addresses get charged the same rates as any domestic priority US address, no matter where they are actually stationed in the world. All USPS flat rates are the same, just like shipping to any US state or territory.

Hello @Creator,
Thank you for reaching out. I am happy to assist.
I completely understand how this is a hindrance and would be very frustrating. As a workaround, for now, have the customer choose to "Enter the address manually". I located this article doing a Google Search on how to format Military addresses for Shipping purposes. Once I followed that and formatted the address manually using that guide, I was able to get shipping rates and proceed to checkout. I would also recommend submitting a feature request on our Ideate Board, our new process of tracking feature requests. Once submitted we will keep the thread updated on the status of the feature. To learn more about how feature requests work, please see this post (squ.re/Ideate-Commuity) from one of our Seller Community Moderators.
I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any other questions.

The customer was attempting to enter their address "manually" during checkout and there is no dropdown for armed forces under the state option. This person lives overseas and this isn't the first time they have ordered from the US using the internet and orders online frequently.
Per the article you linked, this quoted step can not be done with the square checkout cart, because none of the following options are listed in the drop-down for the state.
- Armed Forces Europe
- Armed Forces Middle East
- Armed Forces Africa
- Armed Forces Canada
step "4. Please choose “Armed Forces (AE)” as the State option for any of these:"
Can not do this at all.
This is the problem I am currently reporting as being a hindrance. The limited state drop-down that does not have armed forces options is the issue.

I appreciate your providing more insight. Definitely submit a feature request on the Ideate Board. I agree this is a hindrance. And we should have features available in Square Online to accommodate this. Thank you again for reaching out and making this known.
