Payment Links Without a Set Price
I am attempting to create a payment link to be used on invoices as I send them out. From what I can tell, any link I create for "T-shirt" for example, the payment request amount has to be the same globally. What happens if I have a client with a T-shirt that costs $40, another client that is $42 and another that is $60? Do I have to create three single links? That seems like a lot of work on my end!!! I'd like to have one link to add to my invoice (I use Wave accounting) and have the client pay whatever I have invoiced them...not the amount that I have used to create a Square payment link. Why is this so difficult????

Hey there, @LeoMom3!
You can send a payment link where the customer types in the amount they are paying.
To do this:
1.) In your Square Dashboard, scroll down to "Payments"
2.) Click on "Payment links"
3.) Click "Create a link" in the top right corner
4.) Choose "Collect a payment"
5.) Scroll down and click "Advanced Settings"
6.) Toggle on "Allow buyer to set the price"
By doing this, the customer will be able to type the amount they were invoiced for and pay this amount 😊
Here is the Support Article that highlights all thinks payment links as well, to use for reference in case you need it!
I hope this helps!
