POS items not syncing to online

Was a change made with recent update to no longer auto-sync new items from pos to online store? I set new items up in POS, but have to manually import every item now.  They used to show in online items and I could sort by unavailable, available, hidden, etc.?

Something must be happening- having the same issue.  I filed a bug- hopefully they'll fix it early this week!!

None of the new items we have entered into our retail inventory is showing up as items in our e-commerce back end. This is still an issue- I just checked again.

My Rep told me do to the following..

Go into Square Online > Items

top right there is a button "add item from library"

your items entered into Point of Sale items should be sitting in there no.

This works! Thank you for posting this.

This is obviously a change to the user interface, I think Square should inform users. I think it's great personally because there's often things I don't want to put in my online inventory, and this allows you to see the recently added items without having to sort through every item.

Ahhhh! I have my item preferences set to be unavailable when newly entered, but when I bulk added to library they all entered as "available". But they have no descriptions and they are now live on my site. Now I DO have to sort through my entire site items list to find them as there is no way to filter for "newest". Dangit Square!

This is still a huge issue.  I have not had a return call or email from Square since I called customer service 2 weeks ago when this started happening.  I have turned off my "auto-sync" so that items do not go live immediately with no photos or descriptions.  However as soon as I now manually have to import items to online, they go live anyway!  And no way to add information before going live.  My new item set ups are taking twice as long as they should.  This is ridiculous.  An Answer from Square on status would be nice!

I'm sorry to hear you are still dealing with this. It sounds like you may be experiencing a different issue, though, @RobinM

 

Are you able to add your items through the Square Online dashboard instead of POS until this issue is resolved? 

 

Also, did the rep you spoke with confirm if they consulted with the advanced support team, or did they mention that they were going to follow back up with you? Two weeks seems like a long time, and it may be worthwhile to reach back out to the support team for another update.

The option to Add Item From Library is no longer available. At least under Items. 

 

Sync and Visible are selected to sync my POS Item library and online but it's not happening. I do not sell online and do not want an online store. Am I now required to do all work using the POS app? Nothing is showing up on the desktop: transactions, etc.
