Online Website Glitch

Found something interesting using the online website editor.  When you go to "items" there's a new pop-up that allows you to "Go to the Square Item Library".  I wanted to check it out.

While in the new Square Item Library,  I noticed at the bottom of my item info screen, I could create a Payment Link so I generated a Payment Link for an item that I know is set for "out of stock".  (Just testing to see how it works.)   After creating the Payment Link, I tested it.  The new link should not let me purchase that item because it is out of stock.  However, it does allow me to purchase the item.  No out of stock messages and I can purchase as many as I want.  Yet, on my test website, the item shows out of stock and I cannot select it - so that part is working as intended however, the individual Payment Link allows me to purchase the item.

Perhaps some other curious Community members can try some testing to see if they get the same results.  If someone can recreate what I have done, then this should be a bug report.

Hey @JK_Fiber_Art

I believe at this time Payment Links(formerly known as Online Checkout Links) don't track stock and are meant to be used loosely as an alternative to Point of Sale rather than Square Online. Hopefully, other Sellers can jump in here and share their experience.

Thanks for providing some insight - it seems odd that there would be a difference as all of the info used to create the link comes from the same data - the only difference is the you're just going straight to Checkout - I'm thinking the programmers missed something in the process - anyway - I was just doing some testing scenarios but, this may become an issue down the road for some people who are relying on the inventory feature to prevent an awkward situation.
