Is there a way to turn off the iPad in the Stand?

Is there a way to turn off the iPad in the stand?  It is on 24/7 and is overheating where we can’t use it.

You can always remove the iPad from the stand on your off hours. There's either a set screw or a thumb screw on the lower left of the stand. Once that's out, reach behind the screen part of the stand and you'll feel a little button. Push that and it'll push the tablet up to remove it.

It's odd that your tablet is overheating though. I keep my iPad Air 2 and a iPad 2 in their stands turned on without turning off the screen 24/7 as well. Yeah, the Air 2 battery is shot now (UGH) but otherwise I don't see an issue. If it keeps overheating, you may want to talk to Apple about that.
