Inventory issue

Hi y’all I just started with square retail plus for my convenience stores and I’m a little unsure how to do something if someone could help please.

for example I order 2 cases of coke bottles with 24 in each case I then need the stock to update to 48 when the purchase order is received

I’m unsure how to produce a purchase order for cases and cost of case but sell in single units

also is EBT ever coming to square I’ve seen it in the beta page but not sure how to even test it

thanks

With Sell by Units / Stock Conversions you can stock and sell items individually or by .... what every you call it to track inventory.

The only problem we have seen with this feature is You can not count cases or pallets as 1 Received to show 500 of that item.  You have to Receive it as 500 and then Square in Items will show 1 pallet and 20 cases for example.

The other issue ae at your register or Pos for Square when you scan the Case Barcode, you need to enter how many cases you are selling, but if you scan a 2 liter of soda it will ring the 1,  2-Liter up.  For some reason anything you make as a Sell by unit, 6 pack, 12 pack, case of 24 or Case of 30 will ask you how many packs or cases your are selling at the time of sale.

I also do not think you can use a Purchase order to update inventory, I could be wrong there.  I do not use Purchase orders in square a lot since most of my vendors have wholesale websites to order from.  Here are two articles about the sell by and square conversions.
