I want to run a promo, but don't receive any notifications when someone purchases gift card
Hi everyone! I'm in a bit of a conundrum here. I just finished a chat with a Square representative and of course, my issue wasn't resolved. Unfortunately, I have been running into more of what Square 'can't do' vs what can be done and it is exhausting; especially considering the amount go money given to them every month 🙄. I wanted to run a gift card promo for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. The problem is that there are no notifications when someone purchases a gift card. I can't pair a promo service with a gift card if I have no idea when someone purchases it. I've thought about doing a work around in appointments where I can get a notification but then that requires me to be available to accept walk ins for the customer to pick up a physical gift card (I am an appointment only establishment). Do you all have any ideas how to get around this issue? An example of one of the promos: 'buy a gift card of $100 or more and receive 'X' for free'. Thank you in advance.
