The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Gift Card issues
Hi there,
I'm trying to load the plastic gift cards but can't. I've activated in-store and online gift card sales in my dashboard, but the "gift card" option doesn't show up anywhere on my POS dashboard. It also won't show up in my item library, so I can't even sell the online cards. Is it still possible to load plastic cards? Do I need to create my own Gift Card in the item library? Is there a serial number that I can attach to it so we can keep track of them? Thanks for your help!

Hello, @LABrewatory !
For physical Gift Cards, you'll need to load them at the Point of Sale: there isn't a way to do it from the Dashboard. When you tap on the item library icon (the one with three dots and three lines), one of the first items listed should be Gift Card. On the screen that shows up when you tap on Gift Card, all you have to do is swipe the card at that point. You'll then be able to add a dollar amount to the card. Continue your transaction as usual. The card will be activated once the transaction is complete.
As for the eGift Card sales, again, you'll only be able to do this from your Point of Sale or through the web link associated with your store. eGift Card sales can be found on that same Gift Card item. They're redeemed by attaching the customer to the sale, and using the Card on File option in the checkout screen.
If the Gift Cards item isn't available on your app, then something really odd is going on. Contact Customer Service for help getting that item back on your app.
