I can no longer sign in on iPad 4 because of most recent update

Hi! After square went down last Friday I was signed out of the app on our iPad 4. Since then I am unable to sign in again (error says incorrect sign in). I am able to sign in on the app on my phone or online. I have done all the normal steps like restarting, deleting the app, etc; Anyone have options for me? I’m afraid they have rendered my system useless - we’ve been using my kids phone since Friday but that is not a long term solution. Plus I don’t have thousands of dollars to upgrade my equip Bc of their update. Help?

@Haskinsgardens The latest version of Square POS requires iOS12.0, at least.  iPad4 is not compatible with iOS12, so you won’t be able to use Square POS on that iPad any longer.  We’ve answered a few questions about this in other threads, and a few of us have suggested to Square that changes like minimum operating system requirements should be boldly accounted to all current sellers.  But, no matter, for your current situation the only thing you can do is upgrade your iPad, since Apple no longer supports it with iOS upgrades.

 

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.  There are lots of options for refurbished iPads through Apple, Amazon, etc, that shouldn’t cost anywhere close to thousands of dollars, though.
