How to view item grid on new Square Register?

I can see the page “set up item grid” and then when I complete it I tap “done editing” but how do I see the actual grid? This is on the new square register not the square stand with iPad

Hey @Hoco,

 

To swap between POS systems you'll simply need to sign out of the Retail POS then sign in to the regular Point of Sale app. You should be able to go to "Settings" then "Sign out".

 

Keep in mind our free Point of Sale system does work a little differently to Square for Retail - it might be a good idea to check out both then choose which one is best for your business 🙂

On Square Register the Items Grid can be accessed by clicking on the page tab from the menu on the left side of your screen. As you add more items additional pages will generate automatically.

I have a Square Register and I don't have a grid at all. I cannot add a grid neither from the Web dashboard nor from the Register itself. Is this normal? No more grid at all for Square Register owners?

Alright, now I realized that I am using "Square for Retail Free" on my Square Register and that's why I don't have any grids.

 

Here is the follow up question; how I can change my subscription to "Square Point of Sale" on my Square Register, without losing my configuration and items, so I can start using Grids.

When I hold down the plus sign to add something new to my grid I’m only getting the options to create an item or create a discount. If I scroll and find the item, I want to add, it only lets me out an entire category. Anyone have any experience with us?

I recommend checking to make sure that your Square Register is up-to-date. If everything looks good there, then I will recommend reaching out to our Hardware Team so they can investigate what could be going on here. 

 

They can be reached at 855-700-6000 between 6 am - 6 pm Pacific Time Monday-Friday. If you call outside of these hours, you will be required to enter your Customer Code to validate your account.
