How do you search for an item by variation name?

I have items with different color, size, or style variations. Each variation has a unique product code, but when I search my Square items by the product code nothing is returned. I have to go and find the specific item and check the variations. How do I enable the search to look at my variations?

At this time, the system can only search for the main item as variations live within a particular item.  I recommend you submit a Feature Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers' interest in your request. 

Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
