How do you connect to the square reader I've tried everything it's brand new and has four green dots
My brand new square reader won't connect to my phone can you please help me connect to my device

We need more info ....
Assuming you're going to use Bluetooth -
What's the make and model of your phone ?
Did you check for device compatibility?
Did you download the latest version of Square's POS App?
Does your phone have the latest version of it's operating system?
Please understand that the volunteers here are not the same as Tech or Customer Support but, there is a lot of hands-on experience using Square's Apps and Hardware - with more details, hopefully someone here may be able to provide some assistance. Note, you may have to follow-up with Support if there's still an issue.

You should be able to connect the Contactless chip reader by reading the instructions here : 5639-set-up-the-square-reader-for-contactless-and-chip
If you are talking about the Magnetic reader you just plug it into your Phones Headphone or Lightening port. But your not specifing which reader you have or type of connection and you may also need the C-port to Head phone Adapter.
