Google Shopping issues with Square website
Hi all,
Just wondering if lately anyone is also having errors in Google shopping with their Square ecommerce website. Twice now Google have had my products become unapproved because of an issue with the robots.txt file on the websites server (something to do with the mobile/desktop landing page becoming unavailable in the txt when they trawl the webpage).
This resulted in me having to contact Google to do a manual trawl each time. (I don't regularly check my Google Merchant account so I have no idea how long things have been unavailable for.)
As this has happened twice now with two seperate items and I assume it'll continue, its only started happening within the past 5 days. So I assume its a new issue with Squares servers?

Hey @OneStopFilmShop, thanks for flagging this!
I'd like to share this with our ECOM team so they can have a look further. In order for me to do so, can you let me know:
- The specific item this was happening to (if you have a link to the item on your site, that'd be great).
- The exact error that you saw on Google (if there's a screenshot, that'd be much appreciated!)

Dear @tranguyen
It has happened to both this item: https://www.onestopfilmshop.co.uk/product/fomapan-400/17?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false
and this item: https://www.onestopfilmshop.co.uk/product/ilford-hp5/15?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false
Here is the photo of the time it happened Jun 01st 10:30:37PM BST

Talking to Google they referred that when they occasionally trawl the item automatically to check its status, when this was processed there was an error in the robots.txt file/it was unavailable on the site.
As you can understand, down-time affecting up to 31.1% of my past clicks is extremely detrimental to business.

Hey @OneStopFilmShop, thanks for sharing that!
Our team had a quick look at it and from checking the Robots text, there is no disallow rule for either of those items so there shouldn't be anything on our end that would be blocking Google from crawling them. I'm just following up with them again to see if there is anything else they can find, and I'll follow up once I have more information as well.
