Gift Card Tab Not showing on POS

We have purchased our gift cards and set them up in the system, or so I think. But when we go to the POS register, there is no gift card tab to purchase and load. Am I missing something?

Hey @Michelle 

The Gift Cards button should show up at the top of your Item Library list (for ringing up in Checkout, not for editing in the menu) - and you can also add it to your Favorites Grid.

That is the problem. It isn't showing in my item library. I have been on the phone with a customer service rep for the last 45 minutes and he can't seem to tell me why it isn't showing up. I have the gift cards listed as an item but not the gift card button to process and load it.

So you do see the Gift Card in your items list?

That would be the same thing as the Gift Card button.

What happens when you press that Gift Cards item button?

Where are you trying to get the Gift Card button to show up? In the Item Grid?

What happens when you tap and hold to edit the Grid and try to add it to the Grid?

Thank you for your help. Here are the screen shots you asked for. The Square rep made me a category for Gift Cards and after processing a payment for one, it doesn't generate the loading process. He ask me to go into my Library, but we couldn't find the icon that it looks like. We tried all the icons with nothing showing gift cards.

Oh you're on Square for Restaurants or Retail, not Square POS - that's what's doing it.

I'm not sure how that works, but let's see if @kellyj can find anything out for you.
