Does Square auto calculate sales tax for in-person, or do I have to change it manually each time?
I'm in the process of selling in-person at craft fairs and other events and wanted to know if there's a way Square will calculate what the sales tax needs to be in the location/zipcode that I'm selling at or if this feature is only available for online shipping. I have a website, though it's not live quite yet, I just wanted to check to see if I would have to enter the sales tax manually every time I sold in person in a different location. Thanks!

Hi Sherrr444,
Hopefully others here will also have some thoughts. We have sold at various events from time to time and we just calculated the tax at the time of sale. It was much easier than trying to setup Multiple Locations which can be done but, if doing craft fairs and other events - these locations can change and if you're always looking for new or different event - it can get complicated. So for simplicity we just entered the tax manually per location. I can see where Multiple Locations would work best for brick and mortar locations however, if you're going from temp location to temp location, I'm not sure that would work as well. We'll see if some better suggestions pop up.
