Discount Problem

Hi All,

 

I have a very strange discount problem. I have 3 for £1. 

 

For Example

 

Twix is 40p, I scan the Twix 3 times and it shows £1 total.

 

If I Scan it in order like this

 

Twix 40p

Mars 40p
Twix 40p

 

It discounts 21p and the total is 99p

 

Anyone else come across this situation?

Hi @Pricecutfood, sorry about this! The team have pushed out a fix a few weeks ago or so. The discount should now worked as expected. Are you still seeing the same issue as before?

That's very strange indeed - would you mind showing some screenshot of how the discount is appearing for you and confirming the device you are seeing this on? Once I receive that, I will be able to raise a ticket with our engineering team.

Hi @tranguyen i did reply once but my reply disappeared. Im using the square stand with ipad 6th gen. The same thing happened with different product.

Thank you for sending that on, @Pricecutfood! I've raised a ticket with our engineering team and they confirmed this is a bug. They are hoping to roll out a fix to the app soon, but I don't have a fix date for this yet.

 

In the meantime, a work around is instead of adding item separately like Twix - Mars - Twix, if you add the same item twice (like Twix) at the same time, and then the third different item (Mars), it'll calculate the correct discount (like in the screenshot below).

The other workaround would be instead of using the automatic discount, you can set up another discount with a fix £ value of £0.20, and applied it when customer buy items that are eligible for the 3 for 1 offer while our engineers are working on a fix.

Thanks for the fast reply. I didnt even think to swap it to 20p but yesterday I had been grouping the products together so it worked correctly.

I just had a look but I can't see how you apply the 20p. I can only do it so the discount is per item and not per 3. So when I put 20p in, the total charge is 60p.

Apology for the confusion, @Pricecutfood

 

In this case, instead of using automatic discount, you can create a new discount, set it as £0.20 and apply it manually at check out.

After you have selected the items, you will be able to search for the discount in your item list and apply it manually.
