Well let's get the obvious question out of the way first, are you trying to process a credit card from within the physical united states (or whatever country you started your account in)?
If yes to the above question try rebooting to reset the GPS. Also, see what your GPS is saying if you open google maps or an app like that.s

so then you are physically outside the borders of the US? Then Square will not work, as due to contracts with the credit card companies the transactions must take place within the confines of the original country you opened your account in.
