Dashboard app "temporary" lockout

Last week we had an internet outage at my shop and Square went into offline mode. No problem there, but the dashboard app on my iPhone ceased recognizing my login and now, even though, I don't know, four or five days have elapsed, it still says "temporary lockout" due to too many unauthorized sign-in attempts.

Doubly strange because, even while dashboard app was rejecting log-in credentials, the Web site was accepting them. Any help?

Hey @Knoxbanedoodle !

Yeah, that's a bug on Square's side that the dev team is aware of. I think it has something to do with the fact we need the Captcha on any login now and the Dashboard app is missing some code.

Hopefully it'll be fixed soon!

Thanks for the update Ryan.

We’ve had the same issue for a few days now. The first couple of tech support calls I made on the issue I was simply told I needed to wait a couple of hours and call back again. Last tech told me the following day, it was a known issue. Sad that it’s taking days and still no update from square. How is it this “bug” got through QA testing?

Does anyone know of an update on this? Square had me update the password on our account on Saturday, which automatically logged us out of all of our systems, including the Dashboard App. Ever since then, the app just keeps saying "Temporary Lockout."

Update: As of today (7/14/22), mine seems to have corrected itself -- was able to log in without trouble this morning.
