I have my store all setup but my custom domain doesn't seem to be working. I've connected everything correctly and it says everything is good but for the last week, it still is not working. I've double checked with my domain host and everything is good on their end. does anyone have a solution to this problem? I don't use subdomains so connecting that would be useless. Help!

Here's the most recent instructions for transferring a existing custom domain to Square.
Note: At this time, we can only accept .com, .net, and .org domains for transfer.

Were you able to edit your DNS records? Your Domain Provider should be able to walk you through this, as that's the only step needed when using a custom domain in your Square Online Store.

Yep, I've done that and still nothing. sitting on about a week and a half and no change.

I have been having the same problem going on for almost 2 weeks. I am very disappointed with the service and lack of remedy. Support still has not been able to get the issue fixed. I regret updating to the Pro website because this is when my troubles started. I even contacted google and they manually tried to connect my domain by changing the DNS settings. Nothing seems to work

You know what would be great … Update these Weebly links to ones that aren't broken. Every time I click on the "how to use a custom domain" help URL it redirects to the default Square help center landing page.

@NessRecords I'm sorry to hear about this! Does the link still do that when you are signed into the Square Dashboard vs. accessing the help article without being signed in?

Yes @AshleyK, even when I'm signed into the seller community portal (which I am now), whenever I click on "squareup[dot]com/help/us/en/article/5111#connect-a-third-party-domain" it redirects to the general landing page for the Help Center.

I need help. Chat is no use. I've paid TWICE. email confirms new domain is connected etc but it is not. I will need all money back and use a different platform. This is ridiculous.

I've already done all the steps except manual. I paid to have square do it and waited and received an email that said it was done. Nothing now when i go back to host gator it says the domain is deleted. formerly i could go see it at host gator and unlock it and enter the code to allow that transfer. I have paid square TWICE for this service and don't know how to get a refund because it never happened. I upgraded the site AND paid for the transfer.

This domain name is still set to Hostgator Nameservers and has conflicting IP addresses. You will need to look for the verification email and approve the link, then you can set the domain nameservers to default which will allow you to edit the URL.That’s a lot of info for you, but I would start with checking for an an email asking you to verify the domain. The subject line will say “Urgent: IMMEDIATE VERIFICATION required for [domain name}”
If you try to click “set to default” you will see an error. Once you verify the email, you should be able to fix it. 🙂 Here is a screenshot that may help:
