Hi @AnitaBonitaYo. It’s a great idea, of course. You can submit format feature requests by going to the Ideate Board. For this one, select the Square Online board and submit it there. At least 6 or 7 years ago, I suggested the same thing, but it was rejected as not being something they wanted to put on their roadmap at that time. Maybe you’ll have better luck this time around!
@AnitaBonitaYo I’ll add one more thought. Since Square makes a good chunk of their money off credit card fees, it sort of makes sense that they are reluctant to give us this option. So, when you submit your feature request you might also mention that you’d be willing to pay a monthly fee for this privilege. That might at least sweeten the pot and give them a reason to put it on their roadmap. After all, we can’t expect that every feature (especially one like this one) would be free for the taking. Again, just a thought.
You don’t have to suggest that, then. It was just a thought about why my original request might have been rejected. Of course, I could be entirely wrong about the reason. As I said that was just a thought. My apologies if you found my honest musings to be offensive or insulting, which it seems like you took them to be. That wasn’t my intention, but you probably already knew that well enough anyway.
Once you have submitted a feature request, definitely feel free to come back to the Community and post a link to it in a new thread, asking for the support of other sellers. That could definitely help a lot.
I’m happy to know that. Sometimes I can come across in ways I don’t intend. LOL. Submit the feature request on the Ideate Board. Hopefully the timing is good for them to consider this now. Best of luck.
