Anyone having troble processing payments on Square Terminal while connected to T-mobile?
3 weeks ago my 2 Square terminals suddenly stop processing payments while connected to my T-mobile personal hotspot. They work fine when connected to my shop wifi, but at our mobile location neither will process payments. They connect just fine to the hotspot and will even download software updates while connected, but payments just stall and end with the terminal stating "Payment Failed, please try connecting to the internet or enter offline mode". I've spent hours discussing with T-Mobile technical support and Square technical support and neither company has been able to help.
Other mobile vendors in the same market use the same exact set up for processing payments (Square terminal on a T-Mobile hotspot) without issues.
As information, I've tried connecting to 3 different iPhones. No difference.
I've connected to other vendors hot spots. No difference.
I've run multiple speed tests and all have been strong download and upload speeds. 50+ with uploads of 15+
Any help would be appreciated.

I have S20 FE 5G phones and a Tablet, and also use T-mobile. When I am at my Retail location my 2 Ipad stands connect to my stores WiFi, when a bad storm rolls in we sometimes lose Internet. I have the Tablet setup as a Hotspot and have no issues, except I cannot print receipts. Different networks for my network printer since its on my stores WiFi not hooked through the Hotspot. Now on my S20 FE 5G phone using the Square app, I can log in, see all my items, see Reports etc, but I am unable to take any payments, shows no internet when I am connected to the WiFi, but when I disconnect from my Retails Wifi and use T-mobile cell line it works fine and I can process payments if needed.
I have the update versions on Square and Android operating systems and the lates T-mobile update. So I am having the same issue you are when my cell phone is connected to WiFi for my Cell phone but not for my Ipad Stands. The stands connect to the Android Tablet and are fine.

I have the same issue. I work farmers markets. On one market that I use 2 terminals for 2 different boots with 2 different phones and T-Mobile hotspots I get this "Payment Failed, please try connecting to the internet or enter offline mode".
As you say other people use terminals on the same market without the problem.
On the different market when I use only 1 terminal it works fine.

Sounds like what you may be experiencing is an issue with T-Mobile connectivity.
I'd recommend, if this issue is still occurring, to ensure that they are able to produce a secure connection to your Square Terminal.
