collecting phone number of customer for covid tracing
Just received an email from the Department of Health in NH that as a restaurant we have to start collecting names and phone numbers of customers for covid tracing. So quick question - when a customer pays by credit card can I automatically have the square register system require that the customer enter a phone number? Thanks.

I'm not sure if there's an automatic way - but that does sound like a great Feature Request!
In the meantime, you can make sure your employees Add a Customer to each sale, and manually create a Customer with all of their information if it's their first time.

@Pesso is right on this one. While there is no automatic option, we would recommend instructing employees to collect customer information at time of checkout. I am also more than happy to pass your feedback along as a Feature Request.
