Tracking Inventory

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to the Square POS system. We use it for a coffee shop. I'm wondering if there is a way to input all our products like 12oz, 16 oz and 20oz hot cups in the system and let's say a 16 oz drip is sold, it will automatically pull the inventory from the cup, lid and sleeve inventory? If so, would it be an automatic modifier or custom attribute? Or where or how could I set this up so they don't have to select cup, sleeve and lid with every drink?

Thanks for your help

As I see this is your first post here in the Square forum let me welcome you.

Since you say your faily new to the Square POS system you did not  state which POS you are using.

Square has a Bundle feature which is available for Square for Retail Plus subscribers only.

I have heard of people using this feature to do exactly as you are asking.

They will create a Bundle of a 16oz Coffee.

This item may include

1 Cup

1 Lid

1 Sleeve

1 Stir stick

.002 grams of sugar

1 shot of creamer.....

etc

depending on how detailed you want to be and what all Items you have in your inventory.

You would not have to sell the items individually but would need them in inventory for starting quantities.

This feature was more so designed for selling Gift Baskets of multiple items, but is limited by the Item has to be stated in the bundle.

Modifiers -  Item modifiers don’t decrease inventory counts with Square.  So this option to track Cups and Lids would be eliminated in my opinion.

You might be able to use the Attributes for tracking the items:
