Switching from Shopventory to Square for Retail Plus

We are considering switching from Shopventory to Square for Retail Plus due to the recent closure of one of our brick and mortar stores. Has anyone made this transition? How was it? Does Square for Retail Plus have everything you need or do you find that Shopventory has features/reporting that Square does not?

We made the switch from LightSpeed to SRP. We've found there will be losses/shortfalls and gains/windfalls from POS to POS. You always hope for the latter and the gains outweigh the losses as a business owner. We've been working on the product list for the last week + as we have over 18,000 items. We're a liquor store and that means there are MANY VARIATIONS, options, etc. Customers can buy from a single can of beer to a case of 24PK/30/PK/36PK and many smaller units are made from the larger bulk items.

We understand there's a learning curve as this is our third migration coming from PiquorPOS, LightSpeed to Square Retail Plus. Certainly hoping we stay with SRP for years to come. Kudos to the Seller Community. This group has come thru when we've exhausted tech support at Square.

Bottom line. Every vendor will have certain features and functions you prefer. Most will have the basics. The use, workarounds, and management are what you make and use out of the POS for YOUR specific industry/vertical business.
