Square Terminal & Square for Retail

Are there plans to add the Square for Retail functions like exchanges etc to the Square Terminal? I love my Square terminal and really would like to continue to use it with Square for Retail. Also, is the Square for Retail App available on Androids? I'm currently upset with Apple and would really love to use all the features of Square for Retail without purchasing an Ipad or the kind of expensive Square Register. Are there plans for a more affordable version of the Register?
