Shopping Cart and flat rate shipping fees Issue
Hope this is the right discussion area but is anyone else using flat rate shipping and seeing it get added to the total in the shopping cart early.
my example
Shopping cart shows
Subtotal 8.00
Tax 0.66
total 14.65
No where on this page does it say shipping 5.99, even at the top of the page it says shipping rates are calculated at checkout, not in the shopping cart. The total should not include shipping yet as the customer has not yet decided shipping since i have multiple shipping rates.
Bug or wrong setup by me.
Update 2. Tested this again as as first i could only see this issue on mobile, what this appears to be is a scenario where the user has gone as far as the checkout page and got a shipping charge but decided to go back to the shopping cart to order more or whatever...the total is not updated again to remove the shipping charges...I assume most would see whats going on here but I feel its still a bug if you leave the checkout page any updated charges based on tax or shipping should be removed.

Thank you for your patience while we looked at this. Are you getting the same issue on an incognito browser on a mobile device? This helps with troubleshooting to ensure it is not cache related.

Yes just recreated issue on incognito mode using a mobile device. I can make it happen anywhere now. Here are my steps
Add something to the shopping cart, then i view the shopping cart i only see my subtotal as 8 bucks no taxes no shipping and row for total of 8 bucks.
then go through the check out steps all the way to get a shipping charge applied in my case 5.99 and taxes of 1.15
then i go back by clicking the company title, which brings me to the homepage...click on the shopping cart.
there is now a row for subtotal and taxes and total
subtotal 8 bucks
taxes 1.15
total 15.14
so taxes was smart enough to show up...but no shipping row so the final total of course looks odd. So in my opinion make taxes and shipping both show up or keep both hidden and update the total back to 8 bucks...id be fine with either solution.
