Retail shipping
Hello! I am new to square space for my small business. Love that I can have clients book a service, and also purchase things off the website. I am new to the shipping and e-commerce world. What do fellow square space users utilize for creating the customers shipping labels, and also for shipping itself?
I would love some feed back thanks so much in advance!

Hi Claudiayouresty,
Just for clarification - I'm assuming your using Square and not Squarespace as they are two separate services. There's a few things to consider - for example, your shipping service preference (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.), volume of sales (once in a while or off the charts) and type of items (small or large packages or fragile items, etc.). Square has options like Shippo which is a 3rd party service. Additionally you can connect to UPS, Fedex and USPS (accounts required) through your Square Account Dashboard. Probably everyone has different needs and will either use one service or take advantage of all of them. Since you're just starting out, you have to compare the services to get a better idea of what works for you. You should also consider if you're going to pass on the shipping costs to your customers or figure out how to include the shipping costs in the price of your items - a good way to offer free shipping as the online world is very competitive.
Since we're a very small business, we chose to use USPS Flat Rate Shipping and use the USPS site to pay for and print our labels - it's works quite well for our needs and is easy to figure out your costs plus you can get free boxes. We didn't see a need to link our Square Account to our USPS Account - it's just one less connection as it's easier for us to use both Accounts separately. Hopefully, some of the other Community Members will share some thoughts and experiences.
