Quickbooks Online

I imported all the inventory into Quickbooks from Square. However, when entering a new item into quickbooks it doesn't appear in square. What could be wrong? Do these two systems not integrate with each other, like they say they do?

Hey there,

It sounds like you're having trouble with syncing items between QuickBooks and Square, which can definitely be frustrating! While Square and QuickBooks do integrate, the sync typically works one way—from Square to QuickBooks. So when you enter items into QuickBooks, they won’t automatically sync back to Square.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what's likely happening:

  • Square to QuickBooks: When you add items or transactions in Square, they should sync over to QuickBooks.
  • QuickBooks to Square: Unfortunately, adding new items in QuickBooks doesn't push them to Square automatically.

To keep your inventory aligned, it’s best to enter new items directly into Square first, and then they’ll sync over to QuickBooks.

I hope that clears things up! If you’re still having trouble, reaching out to Square or QuickBooks support could help you get things running more smoothly.  🙂
