Is there a limit to the number of saved Online Store orders the Square Terminal can have?
Before I purchase a terminal, I'm trying to figure out how many carts I can save. The way we opperate, we could have 75 carts saved at any one time. (People order online for in store pickup and payment, then when they pickup in store we'd have the order in the system ready to go).

Hi @jakecaputo! Currently you cannot manage Square Online Store Orders from the Square Terminal. You can manage Online Store orders them from the Point of Sale app on an iPad. I'm not aware of a limit to the number of orders you can view and manage from an iPad - have you had trouble with 75+ in the past?

Following up with what @Helen said, there will be one more issue you’re going to run into:
the way squares Online store works is that the order does not process and show up on your side until the order is paid via credit or gift card. There isn’t a way to have your customers order online and pay in store right now.
As for the total amount of orders allowed to be open at once, I haven’t seen any upper limit, but it’s been my experience with square that when you get a large number of anything on the iPads (open tickets, large tickets, etc) the whole system starts to slow down. A lot. I’ve had it crash on a 100+ item saved ticket before. I would suspect that open online orders would be subject to the same issue.

Thanks. I should have phrased better.
The online orders are not open orders in the square system. Think of it more as 75 people sending a list of 20 items each. We scan those items and open 75 carts and save them each. That way when a customer comes in, we just pull up their cart and check them out.

so you are using open tickets then to save them after you enter it into the Square POS. I don't think you should have an issue, we have had 50+ open tickets before.
