Integrated Retail with KDS or Restaurant operation

Looking for an end user business who has figured out how to integrate KDS with Square for retail to support a small restaurant attached to a busy store.  Complicated by desire to have one check out cash register, rather than running them as separate registers or cash drawers.

An alternative user case scenario: Has anyone operated a convenience store with high volume inventory along with a restaurant, and figured out how to use square for restaurants and square for retail simultaneously, ideally without having two separate cash registers, though I'm heading that direction fast as a solution.

I have one square register running retail, with scanner and cashdrawer attached (along with a barcode label printer for store inventory labeling as necessary.

I want to finally get my kitchen/restaurant side onto KDS, and thought I could use Square for restaurant, but then have no way to "send" completed food ticket to the front register at end of meal (or no way to lookup an open ticket from register.)

The scenario I would like to solve for is a diner who has eaten at restaurant and now wants to also purchase things from the store inventory. How can I do that.

I have a kitchen display monitor, I have a hand terminal unit for ordering, and I also have an additional tablet (android) that could be used. 

And... because I have cash management/cash drawers turned on, these other devices expect to have a cash drawer connected to them once I start using it for orders--can I make them all point to the same cash drawer at the front register?
