How to list items for sale

I am selling items at a charity event. Lots of different items and many helpers checking people out. I would like to order the items in a particular manner to make it easier to check out. Not by price, no alphabetically. How do I do this?

To make sure I'm understanding, are you taking sales in person, online, or a mix of both? Also, what method are you looking to organize your items by?

Thanks Alex.  This is a drive through (due to covid) charity event.  We will have multiple sales people taking sales.  Since there are a large number of items and the sales people are not familiar with the merchandise, I want to list the items in the order they are presented in the drive through.

Thank you for the explanation and I definitely hear you. 

Currently our system is designed to automatically alphabetize all items in your inventory. The only method of getting around this would be to manually name each item in some way of keeping it alphabetized on your side.
