How can I require a purchase of an item to get a coupon on a different item?

For example, I want to send an email coupon out saying "Buy X amount of to-go beer, get X% off of apparel."
How can I create a stipulation on how this coupon is used?

I don't want to require my staff to read all coupons to make sure they are doing it right and would rather have the coupon/computer have an "if/than" situation instead.

Are you wanting to create a discount to be used with the Square Point of Sale app, @Mbc1? If so, this page covers how to create automatic discounts - check out the Create Quantity Discounts section to find the Buy One, Get One option.

If you're referring to creating a coupon that would behave this way, for use through your Square Online website, this type of coupon does not yet exist for Square Online.
