GTIN Error handling when uploading spreadsheets into inventory (CSV or Excel)

As a general store, I oftentimes get barcodes that fall outside the range of acceptable GTIN/Barcodes in the Square Inventory Database. That's fine because I usually either switch over to SKU or I spot the error (sometimes Google Sheets / Excel will remove the leading zero) and can fix it.

However, Squares implementation of error notifications has to be one of the very worst UX of all inventory management softwares out there.

I get a notification bar at the top saying X number of errors in your document, please fix before re-uploading. Then down by the GTIN section, I see one error pointing to the exact cell that contains the error. And that's IT!

Why wouldn't you list all the erroneous cells all at once so we can go into the spreadsheet and fix them all at the same time?

My current process involves fixing one error, exporting the CSV, and re-uploading the sheet to find the next error. Rinse and repeat. For a spreadsheet that contains 5, 10, 15, 25+ errors, this takes FOREVER and I end up exporting an equal amount of files to upload.

PLEASE either:

1) Point out all the errors at once.

2) Give us the option to download the spreadsheet with all the errors highlighted.

Unless I'm missing something massive, this is my current workflow and it's driving me crazy.Screen Shot 2022-09-30 at 10.59.01 AM.png

This is a great suggestion @JoyOne I agree that this would help not only you but many Sellers out there. I recommend you submit a Feature Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request.

Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
