Can I turn off user first name on receipts
We recently moved to Square for Retail and we've noticed that now the first name of the person who set up the account is printing on all of the receipts under the date and time.
I've looked at the receipt customize settings and I don't see any way to modify this part of the receipt. Is there a way to turn this name off?

What you can do is create another user, and fill in the first name as the name of your store or business. Then log in as that user. Now if you are trying to track sales by a certain user this would not work.

I suppose that would work but I don't really need to be paying a monthly fee for another user just to fix the receipt text.

You do not have to pay extra for one extra user. You get with Square Free 2 users, 1 Admin, and 1 You can setup as a sales Clerk if you want which can have less access if you desire. I think this is available on Square POS, Square for Retail free and the other versions of the free to use Square software. The reason for this is to limit store employees from accessing your business data, which is why you can have 2 users free but not 3. Hope that makes sense. I used this on Square for Retail (Free version), so I have 2 logins one is very limited and the other has full access.
