Stock Count

Hi, 

I have tried to solve this with an agent from Square support, but they could not help me. We have Square for Retail Plus, and bought the Square Register for our business a year ago. We wanted to do a full stock count yesterday, but it seems, we cannot do so, neither using the Square Register, nor on the dashboard, as it is only a feature you can access through an apple device. Has anybody else not an apple device and can advise how we can do a stock count and get a proper stock report please? Many thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that you're facing difficulties with stock counting on the Square Register.

Unfortunately, at the moment, the cycle and full count features are only accessible on iPhone or iPad using the Retail app which is only available on iOS. These devices allow you to move around your store or stockroom during the stock count process.

The Square Register is fixed to the countertop and doesn't support these features. You can learn more about these features here. 

I know it's not an ideal solution but it might be worth borrowing an iOS device from a friend or family member in order to do a stock count in the most efficient manner. 

I understand that it's important to have this feature available on other devices and I will pass this onto our Retail Product Teams.
