Why is Square for Woo Commerce tracking Tips as an Item Sale?
I have a Wordpress site/app for customers to place orders. When their payment is processed thru the Square for Woo Commerce plug in, the Tips come thru as a sale. This inflates my sales numbers and I have to pay taxes on it, in error.
For example, I sell a $10 sandwich, the customer leaves a $2 tip. On my Sales Summary screen it shows $12 in Net Sales. On the Item Sales screen it says $10 sandwich, $2 Tips. Like a item sale.
HELP!!

@RayRaysOHIO this is likely happening because any API payments will come to Square as "custom amount" and will not be broken up. You will need to get your tip reporting from WooCommerce if possible.
Let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂
