Which samsung tablets work with square for restaurant?

As I see this is your First post let me welcome you to the Square Sellers forum.

As for which Android Tablet will work with Square for Restaurants?  This maybe the issue, there is no Square for Resturants App in the Google Play Store, you would just use the Square Point of Sale app on an Android cell or tablet.  I run into the same issue with Square for Retail, which also is not available on the Google Play Store.  Where as both Square for Restaurants and Retail are available as standalone on the Apple App Store.  Now I can use my Square Pos app for my Square for Retail sales but not with all the same functions that appear on my Ipads Square for Retail app. 

So if you currently have the Square for Restaurants subscription and an Android device you can download the Square pos app from the Play store and see how it looks and if that will suit your needs.  The big thing I see that is different is the Inventory Tab is not available for me to add at the bottom for Square Pos, but I have it on the Ipad.  Back in 2019 I was using an RCA android tablet with Square and it worked fine for me, but at that point in time I was not using anything more than the standard Square Pos.   My only other suggestion is to see if you can Join the Beta Testors Group and then download the Square Beta Testors App on an android device, I currently have that along with the Regular Square Point of Sale Payment app on my Android Tablet and android devices.

Thank you!  I've been using Square at my restaurant for the past year.  Only this past weekend when I needed to add an automatic gratuity did it come to my attention that there was a different system for restaurants!  I have a Samsung tablet and that didn't work.  But the restaurant app worked on my Samsung phone.   Who knows.....my strength is customer service and cooking......not technology!  I ordered the stand and iPad today.  Hopefully they will work with my cash drawer and printer.

The Square Stand and Ipad system has worked great for me since 2019, so I think you made a good choice there.  Wow I have a few different Samsung phones and Tablets being an android guy and I looked on a few for the resturant app but do not see it in the playstore.  Anyway, depending on your cash drawer and receipt printer setup it may or maynot work with the Stand, but hopefully it will.
