Report - Items Sold by Day
I manage a Sourdough Bread bakery. Each week I have to "order" products from our bakery and I need to make an educated guess as to what I will need to order. The issue is that Square Reporting does not allow me to run a report and see how many of each item I've sold each day for ALL items within a category. I would have to run the report daily and export summarized data and use excel to organize the data. The issue with this is that if I don't sell a particular item on one of the days I cannot export them to excel easily. I would have to still match up that each item was sold. How can anyone use the Square reporting. It's falling short on everything for me. TIA.

Hi @BMBDennis thanks for posting! I hear what you are saying, while the Category Sales Reports on the Square Dashboard does a great job of showing which items/categories are sold, it will not display items that haven't sold.
Would you be able to use the low stock alerts, or filtering your item library by those with low stock, to view which items you are running low on and order accordingly?

I have been after Square for 6 months regarding the same issue. Square's reporting is great on "time based" sales but falls short on reporting "items" sold.
Currently the only ways is to run a "report" - "Items Sales" - "Export Detailed CSV " then use Excel to sort it...
Good Luck because you will get the standard answer back from Square "Great Idea" but no follow up!
