How can I create an item that, for an additional two dollars, offers unlimited toppings?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some help with setting up a menu item in our Square POS system. Specifically, I want to create an item where customers can add unlimited toppings for an additional two dollars. Here's what I'm trying to achieve:
- Base Item: The main item (e.g., a pizza or salad) with its standard price.
- Unlimited Toppings: For an extra two dollars, customers can choose as many toppings as they like.
How can I configure this in the Square POS system so that the extra charge for unlimited toppings is applied correctly? Any step-by-step guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Here is what I am envisioning if I were to do this!
I would assume it would look something like this:
Item 1: Pizza
- This pizza would have its regular set of mods; Charging per Topping
Item 2: Pizza-Unlimited Toppings
- This Pizza would be $2 more than your other pizza and have a separate modifier set with $0 toppings so it does not charge more.
In both items I am sure that you would also have a modifier that they would share which would be the size. (Small, Med., Large, Ect.) OR Style Pizza ( Thin, Hand Tossed, Ect.)
Until Square comes out with a way for a Modifier to have a Modifier I personally don't see any other work around on this. This would at least give you and your staff a way to successfully complete sales... It would just require some training on the front end to make sure they are asking and choosing the correct item.
