How can I charge an eGift Card on file with Square for Restaurants?

I would like to be able to charge an egift card on file, but I can't find an option to pay with gift cards at all. I assume this in in the settings somewhere and I'm just missing it?

Charging a gift card on file is the same as charging a credit card on file. I found it a little confusing at first because I thought card on file only applied to credit cards, but it includes both credit and gift cards. 

During a payment, click the "Card on File" payment option and search for the customer. Once you find them you should see the option to charge their egift card. If you don't see the Card on File option on the payment screen then I'm pretty sure you need to update these settings:

1. On your online Square Dashboard go to Devices.
2. Under POS Devices, click the three dots in the top right corner of the device that you use with Square for Restaurants.
   1. If you use Shared Settings then instead click "Edit Settings" next to the relevant heading. 
3. Scroll down to Customer Engagement, then ensure that "Allow charging and saving cards to customer profiles" is enabled. 
   Save your changes.
