Is there a way to see customer spend by month? I have a country club client that is looking to switch Restaurant POS.
Basically we are looking for a report where we can see a list of customers and their exact spend over a given period. Ideally if we could filter results to exclude categories that would be great.
is this possible?
Toast, has a report that can do this:

Hello @boldlyforge
You can check out all the reports Square for Restaurants offers here: https://squ.re/RSTreporting
We don't have a report that shows exactly what you are looking for, unfortunately.
One option would be to visit the Customer Directory from the Square Dashboard and check the customer's activity there.
You can always request this feature so we can consider adding it in the future. Simply visit our Square for Restaurants board on the Ideate section of our Seller Community: https://squ.re/Ideate
Search the board for anyone requesting the same feature or post your own feature request.
Thank you!

The only workaround I found was to create a customer group in the directory that allows me to group customers by spend in categories during the past month.
do you know of any integrated reporting solutions? I’ve tried a few

As far as integrations, my knowledge is very limited, to be honest. As agents we don't offer support with them.
I've checked out a few for restaurants but they don't really do what you need.
I will tag a few of our Super Sellers that have extensive knowledge on how to use Square for restaurants so you can pick their brain and maybe find a better workaround.

I was only able to find customers total lifetime spend instead of monthly spend. Customer reporting isn't currently very robust.. 😕

@boldlyforge : I know we can see a customers spend (card only sales) for the lifetime they’ve been a customer however, I’m not certain about monthly as I’ve never had a use for that particular information. I’ll check out my Dashboard and report back…

Hi Max!
Thanks for checking into this. The only work around that I was able to do was to create a smart group to tag it as less than a certain $ spend over the past month, but it then would need me to go into each customer to see exactly what they spent. I connected it to a few external reporting tools and they weren't able to generate a report like this. It's a unique use case so I'm not sure if they'll end up incorporating this as a report.
Got it, all my best
